A California mom was arrested for allegedly throwing sex parties for her 15-year-old son's friends. 47-year-old Shannon O'Connor would give alcohol to teens until they "would vomit, be unable to stand, and fall unconscious," revealed prosecutors, according to Daily Mail. While living in Los Gatos she would not only provide vodka and fireball whiskey to the kids but also encourage them to engage in non-consensual sex. O'Connor has been accused of giving out condoms, watching and laughing as the teenagers engaged in sexual acts.
Somehow, she managed to keep her depraved parties a secret from her husband and parents of the 14-15-year-olds. "It took a lot of brave children to come forward and to untangle this deeply disturbing case," shared District Attorney Jeff Rosen in a statement. "As a parent, I'm shocked. As the DA, I'm determined to hold those adults who endanger children fully accountable to the law and our community." O'Connor allegedly threw these parties during an eight-month period from 2020 to March 2021 for her son and his friends. She also pressurized the partygoers to keep the details of debauchery to themselves.

"She stated if anyone was told she could go to jail," read the statement of fact. But that's not all, one time she entered a bedroom and watched a drunk teenage boy get on top of a girl, who was her son's friend and grope her. Per court documents, she allegedly threatened a 14-year-old saying she would spread rumors about her if she told anyone about the things that went down during these lewd parties. During one party, the mom even handed out a condom to a boy and pushed him into a room where a 14-year-old girl was lying on the bed in a drunken state. On analyzing the situation to the best of her ability, the girl darted towards the bathroom and locked herself inside.
Yet again, she took a boy into a room and left him with a girl who was drunk. Per prosecutors, the girl was allegedly assaulted and she confronted O'Connor later about leaving her alone with the boy when she was extremely drunk. "Like why did you like, do that? Like, you knew what he was going to do to me," the girl asked. Next, she saw a boy punching and kicking an intoxicated girl but failed to do anything to stop the violence. "It's just so terrible what she did to my daughter and these other children," expressed a heartbroken mother of one of the girls. "My heart breaks for these kids. It's been devastating. It's a worst nightmare for a parent," she said while speaking to Mercury News.
Last year in October, O'Connor's party caused $9,000 worth of damages at her rented house in Santa Clara. The surveillance footage from that day showed teens puking and stumbling around the property. Prosecutors noted that one boy suffered a concussion and one girl ended up breaking a finger when a group of teens drove O'Connor's car in a school parking on December 19. At the time, O'Connor's son was a player on the Los Gatos High School's freshman football team. The mother of one of the girls involved attempted to raise concerns about the teens drinking at parties with the school officials at the beginning of this year.
However, they said nothing could be done by them as everything was happening off-campus. "I really don't think the high school has taken responsibility for their piece of this," said the mother. Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District revealed in a statement that it investigates "any issues that arise on our campuses and work closely with law enforcement to support their investigation into matters that take place outside of school." The statement added, "It is important to note that we take the topic of underage drinking very seriously and work continuously to promote awareness and dialogue in our classrooms and our community."
As for O'Connor, who also goes by the name Shannon Bruga, she was arrested as a fugitive in Ada county, Idaho, where she currently lives. She is facing 39 criminal charges, including child abuse, sexual assault, as well as fraud charges for spending more than $120,000 in unauthorized charges on a company credit. "Everyone should feel relieved this woman's not on the street," said the mother of the girl. "She was grooming these kids, setting them up for sexual acts, and she's a mother and doing this to her own child. … I've been racking my brain trying to think what was in it for her." O'Connor was booked into an Idaho jail and prosecutors are working on extraditing her to California.
