The 'Yellowstone' star shared a clip of the 1989 baseball classic revealing that one memorable moment in it wasn’t planned.
Legendary actor Ray Liotta passed away on Thursday at the age of 67. His former co-star Kevin Costner who said he was "devastated" by Liotta's passing has paid tribute to his Field Of Dreams actor. The pair starred in the 1989 baseball-themed fantasy drama, Field of Dreams. Costner tweeted about Liotta's most iconic moment in the film when he hits two perfect balls, playing the ghost of baseball legend Shoeless Joe Jackson. The first shot almost hits Ray Kinsella (Costner) before he swerves, while the second shot flies high and falls into the field of corn. Liotta had no experience as a ballplayer and the moment was a total stroke of luck. "What happened that moment in the film was real," Costner admitted, sharing that it was not planned and his reaction was genuine during filming. "God gave us that stunt. Now God has Ray." He also said, "Devastated to hear the news of Ray Liotta’s passing. While he leaves an incredible legacy, he’ll always be 'Shoeless Joe Jackson' in my heart."

The Goodfellas actor died in his sleep in the Dominican Republic, according to PEOPLE. He was 67 years old. No foul play is suspected in his death. The actor is survived by his daughter Karsen, 23, with ex-wife Michelle Grace and his fiancée, Jacy Nittolo. A source told the outlet that Nittolo, a mom of four, was with fiancé Ray Liotta at the time of his death. Nittolo shared an emotional tribute to the late actor on Instagram, writing: My life these past couple of years have been nothing but truly magical. Ray and I share a deep love that I will cherish in my heart forever. We laughed daily and we were inseparable. The chemistry was wild in the best way. He was everything in the world to me and we couldn’t get enough of each other. The kind of real love that one dreams of. He was the most beautiful person inside and out that I’ve ever known…and even that is an understatement.
Other celebrities wrote back to Nittolo including Selma Blair who commented: I am so sorry for this pain of your love having taken flight too soon. My son looks so much like ray liotta and always think of his incredible eyes and force when I look at my dear boy. I love you had each other. I never met your dear man. But knowing you had deep love shared gives me some comfort for you. May his memory be a blessing. Much love and strength to you.
