Biden clarified his intentions, stating that he was going to ban assault weapons but not confiscate all guns.

U.S. Democratic presidential front-runner and former vice-president, Joe Biden, erupted on a factory worker who confronted him about the possibility of passing gun-control laws on winning the elections. A fuming Biden was caught on camera exchanging angry words and swearing at the man. This altercation took place at a Fiat Chrysler assembly plant that is still under construction. Biden was visiting the plant when he was confronted by one of the workers. This happened just before the Detroit primary on the second Super Tuesday polls. Biden, who was doing some last-minute canvassing in the city, won the Michigan primary the same day, reports Vox.

As part of his election day voting photoshoot, Biden was at the new auto assembly plant, the first one to open in the region after decades. It was there that a worker in the factory accosted the democratic frontrunner on his views about the Second Amendment, the constitutional right to bear arms. The worker accused Biden of actively trying to end the Second Amendment right and take away their guns, reports CNN. Biden, with guns blazing (pun intended), tried to defend his stance and responded by telling the worker that he was "full of sh--." He went on to say, "I support the Second Amendment. The Second Amendment -- just like right now if you yelled fire, that's not free speech. And from the very beginning, I have a shotgun, I have a 20-gauge, a 12-gauge." The 77-year-old added, "My sons hunt, guess what? You're not allowed to own any weapon, I'm not taking your gun away at all. You need 100 rounds?"
The factory worker did not back down since only last week Beto O'Rourke endorsed Biden who is known to have famously said, "Hell yes, we're going to take your AR-15s. We're not going to allow it to be used against our fellow Americans anymore." O'Rourke, who ran for the 2020 presidential election, dropped out in November last year. His campaign centered around gun control, conducting background checks, and an assault weapons ban. He also wanted to make a mandatory gun buyback program, according to NBC News. Biden has even publicly announced the position of head gun control under his administration to O'Rourke, so the worker was not off the mark to question Biden's plans saying, "You and Beto say you're going to take our guns --." But Biden interrupted him and clarified his intentions and stated that he was going to ban assault weapons but not confiscate all guns.

Biden went on to say, "It's a viral video like the other ones you're putting out that are simply a lie. Wait, wait wait, wait, take your AR, your AR-14." Telling the man that he was full of it was not all. "You're working for me, man," stated the worker to which Biden responded, "I'm not working for -- gimme a break man. Don't be such a horse's a--." This video has been the subject of much criticism. Firstly, the Republicans took the opportunity to manipulate the video clip and shared it on social media as a far-left policy by a democrat. Other news channels have been accused of editing the profanity and threats made by Biden out before airing the video, particularly MSNBC. GOP National Spokesperson Elizabeth Harrington called out the news channel for "manipulation" and said, "MSNBC's take on Joe Biden attacking a union worker in Michigan, calling him "full of sh*t," a "horse's ass," and threatening to slap the worker? Just Joe "mixing it up." They also selectively edited the video to leave out the insults and the threat."
