Being a mom, actress, and humanitarian is no easy task, but that's what makes Garner beautiful.
What makes a woman beautiful? According to People, Jennifer Garner is 2019's 'Most Beautiful Woman' because there's more to her than meets the eye. Sure, she's a stunner with her sunny smile and dimples, but there's so much more to the 47-year-old. She's a businesswoman, a co-founder of Once Upon a Farm organic cold-pressed baby food. She's an artist ambassador to Save the Children. She's an actress. And she's also mom to her three kids, Violet, 13, Seraphina, 10, and Samuel, 7, with ex-husband Ben Affleck. The 13 Going on 30 actress admits that the beauty of being a mom is incomparable.
“I’m starting to get to the point where I realize this job is not going to be forever,” she tells PEOPLE. “Not in the all-encompassing every meal, every moment, everyday way that I have loved for the last thirteen years. It’s going to shift. But there’s beauty in how it works in episodes.” She confesses that growing up her style “band geek-chic,” she says, laughing but that's what has helped keep her grounded. “I was so not one of the pretty girls that I just bypassed insecurity and didn’t see myself as attractive at all. It was not part of my life.”
While she balances family life and her life as a businesswoman, she makes sure that she uses her power as a celebrity to make a difference. Especially in the lives of other children who are less fortunate. She works with the charity Save the Children, which strives to improve the lives of children through better education, health care, and economic opportunities, as well as providing emergency aid in natural disasters, war, and other conflicts. In June the actress visited Save the Children’s recently opened programs in New Mexico, which are helping migrant children and families once they have been released from U.S. government detention centers.
Garner loves being with her kids and does admit that her children prefer to see her as their mom than the glamorous actress who sizzles on screen. "They'll look at me and say, 'Can you wash your face? Can you put your hair in a ponytail and put your glasses and sweats on?' And I see the compliment in that. They just want me to look like mom." Her children keep her grounded, not like she wasn't already a down-to-earth person. But still, she credits that to her caring family. Despite a public divorce from her ex-husband Ben Affleck, she's managed to be there for her children no matter what and doesn't let the divorce affect this. In fact, the family came together to buy a Christmas tree on Violet's birthday. "They spent time as a family, as they have done in the past," a source tells PEOPLE. "They got a tree, decorated, went to church [and] saw a movie."
While her husband at the time battled with alcohol addiction, Garner stood by him and gave him time to heal before finalizing the divorce. Jennifer has proved to be a strong, independent, mature, caring and classy woman. Sure, she's got the looks. But, like the cliche goes, it's what's on the inside that counts. And that truly makes Jennifer Garner the most beautiful woman on earth.
