Unlike the original, the new dessert will not have the ice cream stick, and will be more of an ice cream sandwich.
WWE is bringing back the iconic ice cream bars that were once a rage. The 'WWF Superstars Of Wrestling Ice Cream Bars' are cookie sandwiches with ice cream in the center and faces of WWE stars on the cookies. The latest one released by WWE is being described as "Vanilla frozen dairy dessert between two vanilla wafers." It'll feature wrestling stars including Roman Reigns, John Cena, RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch, and WWE Hall of Famer Randy Savage. The original discontinued by 'The Good Humor' ice cream company in 2009 but has been listed for sale on their website.

The ice cream bars featuring WWF wrestlers made its debut in 1987 and ran for 22 years until it was discontinued in 2009. Each ice cream bar also came with a free WWF trading card in the box. Some of the most iconic wrestlers have featured on the 'WWF Superstars Of Wrestling Ice Cream Bars' including Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Hulk Hogan, and the Junkyard Dog to Stone Cold Steve Austin and John Cena. The ice cream bars come with a new twist, given that it doesn't have the traditional ice cream stick and is instead an ice cream sandwich.
Same here. I was wondering if I was wrong about the old ones having chocolate... but I wasn't. They did! pic.twitter.com/dXjlYExqON

After the original ice cream bars were discontinued, CM Punk had called for the iconic frozen dessert to return. In a dramatic scene, CM Punk, during 2011, threatened to quit WWE unless McMahon agreed to his contract demands, which included the return of the ice cream bars. Nine years later, CM Punk's wishes have come true with the classic dessert making a return. The Wrestling bars listed on The Good Humor's website feature Becky Lynch, John Cena, and “Macho Man” Randy Savage on the box. Images of the ice cream sandwiches on the box show Roman Reigns and “Macho Man” Randy Savage emblazoned on the cookies. More boxes covering a range of wrestlers are expected to follow soon.
The vintage commercials for the WWF Superstars Of Wrestling Ice Cream Bars featured the likes of Outback Jack, Koko B. Ware and Frankie, the Bushwhackers, The Genius, Akeem the African Dream, and, Los Conquistadores. The Ice cream sandwiches have been listed on The Good Humor website and it will only be a matter of time before they hit the local supermarkets. Steve tweeted that he was instrumental in bringing back the iconic dessert. "I’m proud to say I was involved in bringing CM Punk’s wish to life and these will be on sale at your local supermarket sale. A little different in shape and with no-stick but they are coming back! WWE Ice Cream Bars! " wrote Steve.
One user suspected if the new range of ice cream sandwiches would live up to the original: Definitely won't be as good as the originals though without the chocolate back. All Twitter users were screaming for the return of the chocolate flavor, which hasn't been revealed by The Good Humor company. One user wrote: I’ll take this. It’s better than nothing for now. Hopefully, they add it in the future.
