A Giant, Inflatable Twister Board Game Exists, And It's Perfect For Family Night

Growing up, Twister was a fun game played with friends and family.  You needn't have been the most athletic but with a bit of coordination and balance, you could come out on top. It's a great game to have at a party as it serves as a great icebreaker. Now, the classic Twister game is usually played by 2- 4 people, but the Hammacher Schlemmer company has taken this game up a notch by introducing a 15-foot by 15-foot inflatable Twister board, which means more people can join in and have a whale of a time. 

According to the website, this inflatable board weighs 18 ounces, and can easily accommodate 10 people. It comprises "64 colored dots arranged in eight rows of eight dots each." Also included is a wheel that is 24 inches in diameter, and 3 feet high.  As is with the traditional Twister, the wheel spun at the start of each turn, and depending on where it lands, the players have to use only their hand or foot to touch the specific colored dot. What makes this game challenging is when the inflatable board has to restabilize every time a player makes a move. 

Delish reports that the rules of the game are the same as is with the regular Twister. For instance, "if 'right-hand red' is selected, each player must place their right hand on any vacant red circle. If your right hand's already on red, you've got to move it to another circle of the same color. Any player who touches the mat with body parts besides your hands and feet will be eliminated!"  Therefore, the winner of the game is decided, by the one who is, well, the last man "standing."

In addition to the inflatable mat and spinning wheel,  a 1 horsepower air blower that keeps the playing surface inflated is included. The game can easily support 1,500 lbs. However, this inflatable board doesn't come cheap and will leave a dent in your wallet as it retails for $2,000. But if you are looking for an investment that is worth the fun and games to be had, then this might be a good one to keep as it will come in handy for those outdoor parties in summer.
