8Yo 'Bella Brave' Awaiting Organ Transplant Wows Audiences Onstage With Broadway Star Jessica Vosk

Bella has experienced a number of medical and genetic conditions since she was born in 2013.

TikTok star Bella Thomson, known as Bella Brave to her nearly 5 million followers, was asked to perform on stage alongside former Wicked star Jessica Vosk. The little girl from Saskatchewan, Canada received a standing ovation at the David Foster Foundation gala on Saturday night after a electrifying rendition of “Don’t Rain on My Parade” from the musical Funny Girl all thanks to the Broadway star.  "I was in the middle of singing 'Don't Rain on My Parade,' and I just looked down into the audience and saw her dancing by herself in the aisle, living her best life, and I knew she had to come on stage and have a complete star moment," Vosk told PEOPLE. "David Foster stopped the band, and the audience went wild, and she stole the show! And she stole my heart too. She is stronger than I will ever be."

After the performance, and looking absolutely adorable in her pretty purple gown, Bella can be heard endearingly asking "Did you see me, Mommy?" when she heads back to her mother's table. Vosk also shared the special moment with her Instagram followers, captioning a photo of the duo together: This is Bella. She is patiently awaiting an organ transplant, and in the face of daily struggle, she has never stopped smiling. It was one of the most special moments of my life. Afterwards she said, 'This was my dream.'

Kyla and Lyle were overjoyed to welcome their first child Bella who was born in 2013. Since her birth, the little girl has had to deal with several medical and genetic conditions. The now 8-year-old was diagnosed with Hirschsprung's disease, a disease that affects an infant's intestines, along with severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) and a form of dwarfism called cartilage hair hypoplasia. At just one-year-old, she needed to have a bone marrow transplant due to her SCID diagnosis, according to the family's page on the David Foster Foundation website. She is currently experiencing bowel failure and is currently on the list for a bowel transplant.

The natural little performer's mother hopes to 'educate people' on illnesses like Bella's.  "TikTok is where we post all the happy stuff we do in our family," the full-time carer explained, as per The Daily Mail. "What people love about Bella on that platform is that she is so inspiring and is spreading so much joy, despite the medical challenges she has. The real reason I started posting was that I wanted to educate people about what we were dealing with because I knew that, in turn, would better protect Bella. People can be mean and say hurtful things when they don't know or understand something. I didn't want anything happening that would make her feel bad about herself, so using social media is my way of protecting Bella by helping people to better understand what she has to deal with."
